A fragment of a copper-alloy Flat-section, or 'Ribbon-strip', bracelet, similar examples to which have been found in 4th century layers at Bancroft villa (R.J. Williams and R.J. Zeepvat; 1994; pp. 303-4). The surviving length appears to have been deliberately cut in antiquity, both ends being perfectly square and having a patina which extends across the exposed break. Cast into the upper surface is a decorative motif, which consists of a repeated circled dot pattern covering the surface. The reverse of the bracelet is plain. 36.7mm section has been bent under the rest of the bracelet. The piece measures 55.7mm long, 5.2mm wide and 1mm thick. The weight is 4.2g.
