A cast copper-alloy Roman button and loop fastener of Wild's Class IX. The fastener has an open disc-head, with the diameter of the loop at 21.34mm, and the diameter of the loop perforation at 11.11mm. The back of the disc is attached to an L-shaped body, with the leg of the body raising the disc off the body. The body is rectangular in section. At the opposite end of the fastener from the disc, there is a crossbar on the body with a rectangular frame emerging perpendicularly from the underside that has a rectangular perforation, presumably for attachment.
