A bronze dagger hilt, probably of the late Medieval or early post-Medieval period.
The hilt is pointed-oval shape in plan, and rectangular in section. The base face is solid with a pointed oval perforation that allowed the tang of the blade through the hilt for the handle to mount to. The upper face of the hilt has a 2mm border before opening to fit the blade, such that much of the hilt would be relatively flush to the blade.
At each end of the hilt are knobs, and the upper edge on both sides has a row of small incised rectangles.
