Medieval coin; heavily clipped, struck silver penny of Henry V, Class C dated to 1413-1422. York mint. However, this identification is tentative as the distinctive features of the coin are unusual. This seems to be the classification which most closely matches this coin. Obv. Crowned bust of king facing. Crown has a distinctive band with two rows of hollows along it. The fleurs are quite tall and straight. Broken annulet to right of crown. Symbol to left of crown which may be a mis-shapen mullet. No inscription present. Rev. Long cross with quatrefoil and pellet at centre. Three pellets in each quadrant. No inscription present. Diameter 15.6mm, thickness 0.6mm, weight 0.82g Ref: North, volume II, page 71, coin 1400
