Roman copper-alloy plate brooch, circular in shape and flat with a slightly recessed central circular part with a circular hole through its centre, presuambly another seperate decorative part could have been riveted on to this brooch. There are traces of a white metal coating on the front face. On the back face there is a double pin lug and an opposing catchplate. This brooch measures 24.25mm in diameter. It is very similar to examples from Germany (Riha, 1979, gruppe 7, type 7.2, no 1510 and 1515).
