An incomplete Roman copper-alloy of Hattatt gilded glass centre boss type (1989, fig 223, no 641). The glass boss is now missing, the pin loop is incomplete and pin missing. The brooch is oval in shape and around the recessed empty oval shaped setting there are wavy grooves and traces of gilding. The back face is flat and has a white metal coating, the catchplate is bent. This brooch measures 27.38mm in length and 21.38mm in width.
