A copper alloy finger ring which probably dates from the Post Medieval period. The ring has a diameter of 19.4mm and is 2.9mm wide. It is D shaped in section and the hoop is just 0.9mm thick. There is no bezel and the ring is not decorated. A join in the hoop is not visible. The ring has a patina which is brown and glossy but it only survives in places. An undecorated ring is impossible to date securely, but this ring was found in association with another, wider and decorated finger ring which is likely to date from the sixteenth or seventeenth century, so dating by association is possible.
