Iron Age coin; cast copper alloy potin of ‘Thurrock’ type, probably dating to the late 2nd century BC The coin is of the earlier, thicker type and has quite realistic designs. Both sides of the coin have the remains of the casting sprues. Obv. Helmeted head facing left (very worn) No inscription Rev. Bull butting right No inscription Diameter 15.9mm, width (across casting sprues) 18.3mm, thickness 4.2mm, weight 3.28g Ref: Hobbs, page 82, coins 660-665, illustrated on plate 24
