Foot of cast cu-alloy early Roman brooch dating from ca. AD50-100, probably from a Polden Hill type. Only the foot and rest for pin survive. The foot ends in a small moulded head stud and the upper body/bow is much thicker than the foot plate. The pin rest is curved and its underside decorated with three bundles of two grooves each.
