A copper alloy stirrup strap mount dating from the eleventh century. It is 50.2mm long, 25.8mm wide and 8.8mm thick. It is a Williams' Class A, Type 11A mount, which is the most common type of mount. It is sub-triangular with a broken loop at the top flanked by slight projecting lobes. It is decorated with a lion like animal with a raised front paw, and its head turned upwards as if to grasp an object above in its mouth. The flange projecting from the reverse of the base is on a forty five degree angle. It is broken, but appears to have had two iron rivets through it. Only the corroded remains of one survives. The mount is slightly convex and is very corroded, with the metal a dark brown colour with a rough surface. It is a very close parallel to figure 1 in "Stirrup Mounts: Finds Research Group Datasheet number 20" by David Williams (1995).
