Hollow silver button made from sheet soldered together to form an acorn, with loop attachment. Two small holes on one side. The upper part of the acorn stippled to give a naturalistic impression to the button.
Approx 1.5 cm long.
Post-medieval, though difficult to date, perhaps 16th Century?
As such, due to its age and precious metal content, this object qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.
