Terminal from a rectilinear drop handle, in the form of an animal head. Made from cast copper alloy, it is oval in section with a circular hole in the reverse where the end of the handle was attached. There is fairly crude engraving on either side with a line for the brow, two pointed-oval or sub-triangular eyes, and a V shape on either side to form open jaws. On the end, inside the jaws, is a small circular indentation of uncertain function. These terminals fitted onto the end of rectilinear drop handles to keep them in place yet allow them to swivel freely.

Sub class: drop handle terminal
