Copper alloy brooch of Hattatt's swimming duck type. Missing duck head, lug at tail end and fairly corroded. Hinged pin. Hollow under body. Enamelled arcs (8 each side) contain blue enamel, ?3 triangles at tail end also blue. The centre band of decoration is very corroded but has a central row of small lozenges in relief, flanked by triangles which were probably originally enamelled. Surviving length 33mm, width 17mm, height of body only 13mm. Shape, size and decorative detail are all similar to Hattatt no. 1165.
