A slightly bent copper-alloy annular brooch of early Early-medieval (Anglo-Saxon) date. This brooch type is thought to date from the 5th or 6th centuries AD.

The brooch consists of a circular ring with wide, flat surfaces. It measures 39.7mm in diameter and has a central aperture of 16.5mm diameter. The pin attachment takes the form of a small circular hole, located just in from the central aperture. Opposite the pin attachment is a lipped 'U-shaped' notch, which would have acted as a pin rest. The pin itself is missing. The upper surface of the brooch is decorated with three concentric circles of punched marks. Each mark takes the form of two triangles side by side. The outermost ring of marks extends around the perimeter of the brooch, the second ring lies two thirds of the way in and the final ring is located just inside the inner edge. The upper surface of the brooch is also silvered or tinned. The reverse is flat and plain. The brooch measures 2.1mm thick and weighs 8.75g.

The notch in the frame is a characteristic of quoit-type annular brooches; compare NARC-63FA58 and NARC-63CBFD.
