Medieval tap for vessel, cast flat-sectioned openwork finial, resembling a curtailed fleur-de-lis with damaged apex, springing from the top of a hollow tapering cylindrical case, pierced by a pair of opposed transverse holes to control the passage of liquid. Lead plug missing. Cf. Egan (1998) fig.189, no.746. Probably late 15th-16th century.
