Two sherds of pot, one incorporating part of the base, (possibly from same vessel). Unglazed pale pink fabric with sandy grit inclusions is typical of medieval Gritty Ware of around 12th to 15th Century. Both sherds have evidence of burning and are most likely from cooking pots (squat wide bodied jars). Larger sherd is 62.7 x 45.6 x 8.5mm, smaller (base) sherd is 42.1 x 36.3 x 11.8mm.

Notes:

Sherds labelled 6L (larger) and 8L (smaller, base) by finder
