ARROWHEAD

Unique ID: SF4447

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Published Find published

Tanged arrowhead (of barbed and tanged form, but of the type without barbs) made of deep brown flint. Secondary flaking confined to the edges.

Notes:

Brought in as part of collection sf4439-sf4457. This is an unusual collection, with relatively few flakes, and most items are an unusual deep chestnut brown colour. Perhaps a selection from an assemblage, which probably dates to the early Bronze Age but could possibly cover the dates Mesolithic to early Bronze Age.
