A worn and slightly bent silver mid 13th-century cut halfpenny of Henry III (Class 3bc) struck by the moneyer Nicole at an uncertain mint (AD 1248-1250)
Notes:
Although the mint is uncertain, coins of this class were only struck at Canterbury, London, Shrewsbury and Winchester by moneyer of this name. Given that the coin was found relatively close to Winchester it is tempting to think that it was minted locally.
