Copper alloy brooch fragment, Crossbow type, 'light' sub-group. Upper part only; pin bent. White metal surfaces. Iron hinge bar. Headknob and arms are both slightly flattened at the back. Arms are cylindrical with end knobs and collar mouldings. The top of the bow is D-sectioned and plain. Width 28mm, surviving length 17mm, Type as Caister (EAA 1993) nos. 5,6, generally dated to the first half of the 3rd century.
