A modern General Post Office lead bag seal, probably 19th Century in date. One side is decorated with two oval shields, with ringed borders tied together at the top with ribbons. One shield features a spread eagle dragon, the other shield features two dolphins. There is an 'XX' in the top section above the dolphins. The other side of the seal is illegible. A similar example has suggested a GPO Crown over POST on this side of the seal (cf. ).
