A copper-alloy Roman Colchester derivative hinged type bow brooch, missing its pin only. The wings are folded round to form a cylindrical case around a copper-alloy axis bar on which the now missing pin was hinged in the centre. The wings have transverse grooves across their terminals and diagonal grooves between these are the bow. The bow has a D-shaped section and a central rib with grooves to either side of it one third of the way down, the rest of the bow and foot has transverse mouldings across it. The catchplate is small and unpierced. This brooch measures 32.97mm in length and 26.55mm in width. Similar to Hacheston examples (Plouviez, 2004, 97-98, no 129).
