An incomplete cast copper alloy Romano-British one-piece Colchester type brooch. Behind the flat rectangular wings is a copper alloy spring with four surviving coils. The other half of the coils and the pin are missing. On top of the head is a forward facing hook to secure the spring. The plain bow is hexagonal in section and tapers to a plain pointed foot. The long catchplate is incomplete at the bottom and has two surviving rectangular perforations. The surviving length of the catchplate is 17.8mm and the width is 13.6mm. There are some traces of bronze disease on the bow and catchplate. The length of the brooch is 51.6mm, the width is 18.8mm and the weight is 8.52g.
