Lead pot mend. Both plates are oval, one being much larger than the other. The smaller of the two plates is domed, with a slight recess where it is attached. A small amount of red pottery is adhering to the surface of the lead. However there is not enough pottery surviving to more precisely date the pot mend. It may be of Roman to Post Medieval date. Both surfaces are worn and there is some post depositional damage. It is 53.12mm long, 32.10mm wide and 21.40mm thick. It weighs 97.67 grams.
