a copper alloy nail of probable Roman date. It has a solid, dome-shaped head which is worn, and may have had a flat band beneath the dome, 8.73mm in diameter and 8.45mm in height. The shaft is polygonal and tapers towards a worn point. The shaft measures 20.45mm in length, and the pin weighs 3.29g.
