Seventeen sherds of grey ware pottery of Roman date. Four of the sherds are rim sherds and the other thirteen are body sherds. Three of the rim sherds are everted and are probably from jars and the other is plain and may be from a bowl. Most of the sherds are a reduced light to mid grey, however, two are a more oxidised buff colour, with one reduced surface and one has reduced surfaces and a reduced core which is surrounded by oxidation. The sherds have sandy fabrics with sparse other inclusions including larger grains of quartz and some grog. The largest rim sherd appears to be partially covered in a cream-coloured slip. Total weight: 147g
