A cast copper alloy chape or strap fitting. The chape is conical in shape, formed from a thin rolled sheet of copper alloy. It tapers to a circular loop. The loop had been added to the object via a hole in the terminal of the chape. The object is worn with a mid red-brownish patina. It is post medieval in date.
