A copper alloy object, possibly a crude brooch dating to the first or second centuries AD. The object possesses a flat rectangular plate, perhaps intended to represent wings, from which a crude, D section tapering bow extends. There is no spring mechanism, pin or catchplate and no obvious means by which these could have been attached. The object measures 35mm in length and 21mm in width.
