Lithic implements 1) Miscellaneous retouch length 27mm, width 18mm, thickness 5mm. Multiple flaking scars on the dorsal, the bulb is missing from the ventral, 30% cortex on the right side and tip. The left side has inverse scaled, long rough retouch, dark grey flint with lighter patches, this artefact dates to the Bronze Age. 2) Notched piece length 17mm, width 22mm, thickness 3mm. Multiple flaking scars on the dorsal, bulb of percussion on the ventral, direct, abrupt scaled retouch on the left side of the forward edge. Grey flint with a creamy patina, this artefact dates to the Late Neolithic-Early Bronze Age. 3) Fire damaged flint, length 32mm, width 29mm, thickness 10mm. This flint has been is a very high and long sustained heat. The high heat has resulted in cracking throughout the flint leaving the artefacts with a marble looking surface. This artefact date from the Palaeolithic through to the Late Iron Age. 4) 3 fragments of debitage. (not photographed) 2 Secondary waste flakes. average size length 25mm width 21mm, thickness 5mm. All have less then 50% cortex remaining. Date Prehistoric. These are waste flakes from the manufacturing process. 1 Tertiary waste flake, average size length 22mm, width 15mm, thickness 6mm. prehistoric. This is a waste flake from the manufacturing process, prehistoric date.
