Copper alloy brooch fragment, Knee type. Head-plate only. Semi-circular headplate with 2 lugs for spring on back. Traces of white metal coating ; angled notches around the curved edge. The small stub of the bow is hollow backed and rounded with no moulding at junction. Width 21mm, surviving length 13mm. Probably Snape 1993 type 5.1D or 5.2
