A cast copper alloy tongue shaped object, function unknown. One face - probably the bottom - is plain, the other - the top - is decorated with a rough checkered design. The checker is created by moulded recessed squares in the face, and the design highlighted by enamel inlaid into these squares. Some of the enamel remains, and is red in colour. There is a protuding lip running around the edge at the bottom. There are no other visible marks of attachment. The piece is relatively heavy (at present no access to scales so subjective opinion only).
