A re-touched flint flake tool of probable Mesolithic to Neolithic date. The piece is sub-triangular in form, with a small portion of the core platform remaining at the top and, on the reverse, a bulb-of-percussion with rippling below. The upper surface is convex, has a broad central ridge, and two narrow diagonal flake removal scars at the top. The outer edges of the tool have been re-touched by the removal of a single row of small chippings, creating a serrated blade. The flint surface is a heavily patinated mid orangey-brown. The implement measures 46.5mm long, 25mm wide and 7.1mm thick. The weight is 7.04g.
