Medieval lozengiform sheet mount, probably a strap fitting, with two holes for missing separate rivets, edges closely followed by engraved lines on front face. Now bent transversely into an even curve, but almost certainly distorted and not intended to be mounted on a rounded or round object, diameter c.30mm. 35 x 17mm. 13th – 15th century.
