A small cast copper alloy spur buckle with pin missing and probably dating from the 13th-14th centuries. It has an oval frame with integral plate. The plate has a small hole and recess at the loop end for the pin. At the opposite end the remains of two corroded iron rivets can be seen for attachment to the strap. This end of the plate has a pointed shape and there is also a central boss. Three parallel ridges traverse the length of the plate. The buckle measures 43.00mm long, 13.66mm wide, 2.78mm thick and weighs 4.16g.
