A late Medieval to Post Medieval lead cloth seal (1450-1650). This two part cloth seal no longer has the folded linking strip. One face of the seal displays a single-headed eagle, beaked and legged, within an oval field(an apparently heraldic device)and the other is stamped ‘3 PO' below a crown. Cloth seals were used to mark commercial cloth for sale. Dimensions: diameter: 21.06mm; thickness: 4.05mm; weight: 5.67g.
