A cast copper alloy double looped rectangular buckle. The frame is curved in profile, with five deep rabbets down each outer edge. The edges are decorated with two lateral grooves, some of which appear to be filled with corrosion product, possibly iron. The frame is knopped at either end of the strap bar, which is offset. Traces of a black coating remain in the rabbets. The pin is missing. The meatal surface has a mid brownish green patina and is worn. The buckle is medieval in date.
