A gold finger ring, inscription on the inside of the hoop with the legend: JOHN KING ESQ obijt 10 March 1670. There is a markers mark after the legend. The hoop is mis-shapen and has been bent at multiple points, giving the hoop a hexagonal appearance. The hoop is D-shaped in section and has been decorated with a skull, which is set into the hoop, rather than being raised like a bezel. The rest of the hoop is undecorated.
