A small abraded sherd of Roman Samian ware, possibly deriving from the East Gaul Region in 2nd-3rd century AD. The fabric is light orange in colour with an orange-brown internal surface. The external surface is missing. Inclusions consist of occasional fine white particles. The sherd measures 26.08 x 22.39 x 3.38mm thick, although the original thickness of the vessel would have been greater, and weighs 2.33g.
