Circular cast copper-alloy mount/stud. The upper surface is convex with two concentric ciruclar grooves and a central circular nipple with a concave dot. There remain two pointed spikes, which would have acted as rivets, on the reverse. One is bent inwards and the other outwards. 17th century.
