Medieval lead alloy spindle whorl, 30mm in diameter and 10mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a grey patina and weighs 38.98 grams. The whorl is lentoid in section and has a suspension hole 10mm in diameter. It is decorated on both sides, one has a row of raised circular dots on its outer edge and a faint rope like border inside. The other side has faint and apparently random raised lines and dots.
