Incomplete Late Saxon copper alloy finger-ring with, apart from a large flat lozengiform bezel, only a short length of the hoop surviving. The bezel is covered with stamped impressions of two shapes, an equilateral triangle containing two dots and a tear drop with one dot. These have been carefully applied so that there are overlaps. It is not certain whether the small piece of the hoop is stamped with overlapping impressions of the triangular motif or with another single dot triangular design. Diameter not measurable. Width of bezel 15mm. Stamped finger-rings, in gold, silver and copper alloy are characteristic of the late 9th and 10th centuries (Treasure Annual Report 2001 (2003) 34, no.45; E Anglian Archaeol. 22, 68, fig.110 no.12 and 13; Graham Campbell (1980) 61, no.219; E. Anglian Archaeol. 74, 56, fig.38 nos.23-5).
