A cast copper alloy rectangular knee or shoe buckle frame. Traces of iron corrosion product remain around the drilled holes which would have housed the separate strap bar. The inner edges of the frame are bevelled. The metal surface is slightly worn with a grey patina. buckles of this type date to the post medieval period.
