Gilded mount. The object comprises a sub-rectangular plate with a projecting narrow section; the latter terminates in a zoomorphic head. Six dome-headed copper alloy rivets project from the front. The copper alloy has a rust red patina in places.
This has been noted as an interesting find by the recorder.
