Mixed assemblage of patinated and unpatinated flint. At least 2 phases represented, as demonstrated by 13. Mixed dates from Neolithic to later Bronze Age to Iron Age. 1. Chunky retouched blade, sub triangular in cross-section, unpatinated, light- mid grey in colour, plain butt, hinge fractured, parallel flake scars, retouch along both edges, hard hammer. 2. Retouched blade, very lightly patinated, mid grey colour, damaged butt, parallel flake scars, slight retouch along both edges and distal end, hard hammer. 3. Chunky notched flake, unpatinated, cortex on one edge, light grey colour, plain butt, pronounced ripples, distal end appears to be retouched into a notch (probably modern damage), probably hard hammer. 4. Flake (possibly notched), unpatinated, mid brown in colour, small butt, distal end snapped of and missing, random flake scars, irregular edge, small areas of crude retouch on both edges with a possible notch on one edge, hard hammer. 5. Squat semi-circular scraper, unpatinated, mid grey in colour, plain butt, obtuse striking angle, fairly fine invasive retouch around one edge and distal end also some retouch around butt, hard hammer. 6. Retouched flake, thin, unpatinated, dark grey in colour, mesial part only, both ends snapped off, random flake scars, retouch on ventral face on both edges. 7. Retouched Blade? proximal end, very light patinated, prepared butt, parallel blade scars, retouch on both edges steep on one edge, snapped, 8. Long chunky pointed flake, sub triangular cross-section, unpatinated, dark grey, plain butt, random flake scars, retouch on both edges near the distal end, which is pointed. 9. Notched flake, unpatinated, light-mid brown, cortex on one edge, plain butt, parallel flake scars, retouch and a notch on distal end, hard hammer. 10. Retouched flake, unpatinated, mid grey, damaged butt, parallel flake scars, slight retouch on one end of one edge. 11. Small pointed utilised flake, unpatinated, dark grey, plain butt, random flake scars, crude retouch on ventral face and possible use-ware near the distal end, hard hammer. 12. Flake retouched, unpatinated, 80% cortex on dorsal face, mid grey, has a rolled appearance, crude retouch on one side, possibly a natural flake. 13. Large re-utilised flake, light-medium patination, mid-dark grey, butt appears damaged, retouch along one edge done at a later date as is not patinated. 14. Flake core, light patination, 2 % cortex, dark grey, multi-platform
