A copper-alloy double-oval buckle of suggested mid 16th to mid 17th century AD date (R. Whitehead; 1996; pp. 61). Both sides of the frame are roughly D-shaped and have moulded line decoration on the angled outer edges. The buckle is not flat, but bent slightly upwards either side of circular-section axis bar. The pin is missing and the surfaces of the buckle are corroded. It measures 29.9mm long, 18mm wide and 2.2mm thick; the weight is 2.74g.
