A cast copper alloy Middle Saxon strap end. The terminal end has a moulded zoomorphic head. The central panel is decorated with a disjointed zoomorphic design. The attachment end has 2 attachment holes, one in each corner. The rear side is plain, and originally splayed into 2 plates at the attachment end to take the strap but the rear plate is now missing.
