Copper alloy lace tag. The tapering fitting is undecorated and contains no rivet holes. Length 61.5mm, maximum external diameter 10mm. Close dating of individual lace tags is problematic. The type remained in vogue from the thirteenth to the seventeenth century (Bailey 1997, 64) and it is not possible to more closely date this example.
