PALSTAVE

Unique ID: LANCUM-F8CA81

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

Cast cu-alloy palstave of the earlier Late Bronze Age. It has a dark green/olive patina with brown patches and ca. half of its surface is still shiny and unblemished. However, part of the blade and the outer edges of the butt end seem rough due to damage, corrosion and bronze disease. The palstave has a large loop (damaged) and slighty curved stop-ridge. Also, there are faint signs of wear on the lower part of the blade.
