Cast copper alloy rim fragment from a wide and steep sided vessel (probably a cauldron). Surviving vessel depth 37mm, thickness 3.5-4.5mm, weight 42.1 grams. Medieval or post-medieval in date. Medieval cast copper alloy vessels are discussed by Egan (1998, 161-169); several post-medieval examples are noted by Margeson (1993, 90-94).
