A La Tene III copper alloy annular brooch dating to the Middle Iron Age (c. 300-150 BC). On the front face the circular frame has five moulded decorative hemispherical lobes arranged equidistantly around the frame. In between each lobe is a small, plain moulded collar. Each lobe has a hollow reverse except for the two that carry the perforated pin lugs and, diametrically opposite, the catchplate. The pin is no longer present. The copper alloy has a dark green patina. Date circa 300 BC- circa 100 AD. Dimensions: Diameter 36.58mm; weight 27.71g
