Small fragment of a very worn Roman trumpet brooch dating to the 2nd century. The head of the brooch and part of the bow survives. The head has a loop on the back through which the sprung pin would have fitted. The bow has decorative moulding at the waist which is continuous around the bow. The fragment measures 5.66g and measures 27.58mm in length, 7.83mm in width and 13.9mm in thickness (from front to back).
